Jim at Chisel & Grit was everything you could want in a contractor. He was prompt, highly detailed and creative about solutions. He focused exclusively on our job, unlike many contractors who do numerous jobs at the same time. He has great communication skill and explains everything in detail before he executes.

We really appreciated that he covered and cleaned everything every day so even though we were in a construction zone, everything was spotless.

There were a number a challenging problems in our build that Jim solved with great skill. It was a pleasure to see him puzzle out solutions that were beyond my expectations.

I highly recommend Chisel & Grit for anyone looking for a contractor who cares, is professional and has a fine eye for detail.

Hired Jim for a big renovation this year and look forward to calling him again when the time comes. Jim overhauled our entire kitchen/living room/dining area, knocked down a wall and supported with a steal beam, and laid new floors throughout the majority of our home. He estimated 7-8 weeks for everything which sounded ambitious to me but he delivered high quality results in exactly that time. He was fair and honest with pricing from start to finish. We had a similarity positive experience with a bathroom renovation that Jim did for us previously as well. Genuinely highly recommended.
